My Journey to the Lean In Conference 2023

I don’t know how many times I have shared the reason that made me decide to immediately establish Lean In Vietnam Graduate (formerly known as Lean In organization), no matter how many times I repeat it, it always gives me a special feeling. This conference has been a life-changing event for me, as much as first reading the book Lean In 💪
My friend – Wakabi tells us about her feeling that ” I was actually eye opened since the first exercise led by Nikki on Day 1. When we were told to move to one side or the other of the room, I only knew to go left or right, but she all so naturally told me it’s ok to also stand in the middle, embrace ambiguity, and value freedom of her feelings. Growing up in a country that is strict with rules and norms, it was shocking.” I chose to stand on the right-hand side and sometimes hesitated when deciding whether to move to the middle or to the left. This made me think about what I need to do to be more challenging when making the next decision.
How can my Circle thrive? How to optimize resources here? Who will I be in 5 years? When I have a family, how will I balance?
Witnessing her parents, husband and two children at the evening party and last night always reminds me of one important thing: Family is a really solid back for anyone, not just women who are leaders. And having a life partner to understand and accompany is extremely meaningful. Family is like a small Circle, if this Circle develops sustainably and firmly, any difficulty will be able to overcome. A woman with great success in her career. Strong family – Quality friends – Sustainable community. So, I know what I’ve to do now and What should my first steps be? I don’t know how will the difficulties come but I believe and know my worth can turn to each other. Trust your voice, make mistakes and make some noise, so never lose your joy and your hunger 🔥🔥🔥
Meeting you ladies feels like finding sisters and one really awesome brother I’ve been looking for. Thank you for creating a safe space for all of us to bring our full selves to make meaningful connections, sisterhood and friendships that will last years to come 💝
